World Autism Awareness Day Puzzle Card Stunt

To celebrate World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD), Autism Speaks hosted a “Card Stunt” in Ralph Bunche Park, adjacent to the United Nations in New York City.

To celebrate World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD), Autism Speaks hosted a “Card Stunt” in Ralph Bunche Park, adjacent to the United Nations in New York City.

Autism Speaks co-founders Bob and Suzanne Wright attended the Autism Awareness event.

Participants gathered holding cards to create the Autism Speaks blue puzzle piece logo. Chuck Wagner, the Ringmaster from The Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus accompanied by members of the circus who entertained the crowd with their antics.

Autism Speaks co-founders Bob and Suzanne Wright also attended, thanking the crowd for their commitment to raising autism awareness. Tonight, Ringling Brothers presents a special performance celebrating WAAD at Madison Square Garden, which will include a special pre-event for children and families with autism and a “quiet room” where families can get away from the noise but still see the circus.
